Hello Blog readers!
Today at Enrich was amazing! In the afternoon when we went into music and performance, we learnt more of the dance we are doing to "Let Me Entertain You" by Robbie Williams. Finally we have finished it! Last week we only learnt the chorus. Today we learnt the rest! Including the verses and the ending! The thing that you really need to be a good dancer is to have attitude and to be cheeky and funny. I hope I did that well today!

Hello my Lil' Couch Potatoes! I'm Anna and I'm a year six at Enrich this year (my final third year). Enrich is a place for gifted and talented students that are challenged to do hard tasks and to step outside of their comfort zone. The things we do at Enrich are Talent Development, chess, and one of my favs, Passion Time. My passion is music, performing and acting. I like Enrich because we get to do different things than we get to do at my normal school. See ya later From Anna Big Couch Potato

Hello Blog Readers!
Today Enrich was so awesome!
After morning tea, we went into our passion time/talent development groups. In music and performance, we learnt a new song called "Some Things Are Meant to Be" from the musical Little Women. There are two girl soloists. We also had to get a photo shoot picture done! We had to stand in front of a brick wall and look like pros! It was so funny and cool.
Adios,
Anna
P.S and as soon as I have got my picture ready to go I will put it in with the next post =)

Hello Blog readers!
Sorry I didn't get to do a post last week because we ran out of time =(
Anyway, today was awesome! Darryn and Nicola were not here today so Jenni filled in for Nicola and Jane filled in for Darryn.
In music and performance today we got to make a song on GarageBand for about half an hour, then we listened to each others songs. All of them were really cool and random! Mine started off with a very simple bongo beat and then it went into bongos and a banjo beat. After that, there was a short pause. Then there was a different banjo beat with bongos, the starting banjos with the bongo beat then just bongos. See the pattern? It sounds really confusing but when you read it over and over you will start to get the pattern in your head and get your head around it.
At the start before we went on GarageBand, I had no idea how to use it at all. I couldn't even get one piece of music or a beat on it! I have now learnt how to use it! I know how to put beats, strums, effects and lots more on it! I recommend using GarageBand for slideshows because it really is fun and funny, and pretty much amazing. I have enjoyed having music and performance with Jenni today. She is really fun and funny =)

Are all impossible things possible?
This afternoon, we got into our rotation groups. Katie lined us up in one big line down the floor and told us where to go for either P4C or debating. Katura, Liam, Matt , Samantha, Luca, Grace, Brianna and I went into P4C and all of the other people went to debating. Oh, yeah, and the newspaper kids went and did the newspaper with Nicola. In P4C today, we talked about impossible and possible things. The question was "Are all impossible things well, possible?" To me, yes they are. Think back 100 years ago, when some people thought " NA! There can not be anything that drives people around! See?! They thought what is possible was impossible. Now think 100 years on, who knows what is going to happen?! Maybe they will invent flying pants or an iPad 20? We just don't know. I have learnt that if you imagine, it can always be possible.
Bye, Anna

Funny And Icky!
Hello blog readers!
Today at Enrich was funny and icky! To start off the fabulous morning, we played a game of chess. I challenged Mia, then Grace. I lost both of the games =(. I have to admit, I'm terrible at chess.
After play, we got into our groups for the teacher led workshops. Have I told you I'm in science? Well, I am. We were doing some experiments with dry ice. The dry ice was minus 80 degrees!!!
My favorite experiment we did was when we got a big beer glass and filled it with water, then got some food colouring and put some of that into the water, put some dry ice and dishwashing liquid and Voila! You have your masterpiece. Mine came out as green puffy bubbles! Make sure you DON"T touch the dry ice. (You can touch the bubbles with your bare hands though.)

WARNING: 1. Wear a glove on whatever hand you will be using to put the dry ice into your glass. 2. Wear safety glasses. If you already do have glasses then you don't need to put safety glasses on.
