Waihopai River Planting

Hello!
Today at Enrich we went on a trip to the Waihopai River. We went there to plant some trees. We planted some trees so that all of the mud that used to be getting into the tracks will now not because the trees will block the way. It was also a good idea to plant them because when we get older we can always go and visit and see how much they've grown and if you had children you can say "When I was your age I went to a place called Enrich and we went on a trip with  the whole class and I planted some of these trees".  I was in a pair with my friend Neave that goes here with me and also goes to the same ballet as me. It took about 2 hours and we planted 250 plants! It was a bit tiring but eventually we got there! Also what was really good was that they provided us big juice boxes. We got 2 because we had one for morning tea/juice break and one for the way back to Enrich on the bus. Today was really fun.

 Hi Everyone!
Today at Enrich it was very messy!
We started off with passion time. It was so fun! But here's the messy part...... slime. Thats all I can say. We went onto a website and copied it off there. It turns out quite well! If you want to make slime at home here it is.

Food colouring
1 box of corn flour
Spoon
A big bowl

What to do

  1. Put 4-5 drops of food colouring into the water.
  2. Put 5-6 dessert spoons of cornflour into the bowl.
  3. Put a quarter of the water into the cornflour, then stir.
  4. Stir until gooey.
  5. If not gooey eg.  solid, add a bit more a fifth of water and if too watery add one and a half desert spoons of corn flour.
  6. Get a snaplock bag.
  7. Pour slime into bag.
  8. Make sure the lid is closed tightly.
ENJOY!!!!

I'm so excited to be back at Enrich!! In the morning we started with going over our slideshow for the airport. My group's idea was adding blackboards. So, I better tell you why we were going over it. It was because a lady called Chloe came in from the airport to see if it was good. She did some note-taking so she could talk about it with her boss. She said that all of our ideas were great. These are the airport groups we had: QR codes, which are codes that you scan on a smartphone, Iphone or ipad and then it takes you directly to a website, so it can be handy if your a tourist or something, and then it can take you to restaurant sites or motels/hotels and stuff like that. Black board, games and mural. She said That she loved all our ideas and she said with the QR codes that it's a REALLY good idea and also she said that where we had decided to put the blackboards was a really good place to put it because it is upstairs and out of the way of the cafe.
